Efficient Packaging Process for Carbon Blacks Used in Batteries (from CITplus 10/2024)

Packaging carbon black is one of the most demanding processes in the packaging industry. Traditional methods reach their limits when it comes to handling this ultra-lightweight powder, which has a low bulk density and high air retention. Controlling dust emissions, in particular, poses a significant challenge. At Birla Carbon, the conductive carbon-black-based additive for lithium-ion batteries is packaged using the GREIF-VELOX Clean Cycle of Packaging – a precisely coordinated system that aligns the product, equipment, and packaging.
